1D code identification using a compact CMOS line sensor for short reading distances
Do you need a barcode to be reliably identified by the code reader despite a small reading distance with few distance variations, fixed orientation, and a very small amount of space? Do you also need to stick to a limited budget? As a starter model, the CLV60x fixed mount barcode scanner with 2 kpixel CMOS sensor offers reliable barcode reading at outstanding value for money. It is compact and features excellent reading performance even with short reading distances, so you only need a small amount of space. Thanks to its high scanning frequency of 750 Hz, it is also suitable for fast applications. The CLV60x can be configured quickly and easily using the SOPAS ET software.

ADVANTAGES
For small installation spaces
Strong reading performance at an excellent price-performance ratio: The CLV60x fixed mount barcode scanner reads codes reliably even at short reading distances thanks to 2-Kpixel CMOS technology. Its large aperture angle of 71° and flexible device variants make the CLV60x virtually unrivaled for use in systems where installation space is tight.

Space is tight? No problem.
The smaller the installation space, the greater the challenge for the fixed mount barcode scanner. The compact device design of the CLV60x allows for easy installation even where space is tight.

Flexible mounting thanks to different viewing windows
Is the available installation space too small or too narrow? The location of the viewing window on the sensor determines its installation options. To use all available installation space, the CLV60x offers device variants with a front or side viewing window to meet this challenge with flexibility.

Short reading distance due to large aperture angle
Thanks to the CMOS technology, the CLV60x achieves an aperture angle of 71°. This results in a reading field height of 80 mm at a distance of only 30 mm from the object. This is particularly valuable if space in the system is tight.

The future-proof CMOS technology, the large aperture angle and the compact device design allow for installation even where space is tight.

Easy commissioning and simple operation
Everything really can be very simple. The CLV60x impresses with its clear concept, which is designed to make things as easy as possible for plant operators. Plug-and-read: USB interface, fixed focus adjustment and an LED display that is visible from virtually anywhere during operation – it couldn’t be easier.

RS-232 or USB for easy parameterization
Connection to the controller or the industrial computer is made via RS-232 or USB interface. Operation is controlled via the SOPAS ET software. This eliminates the need for time-consuming trainings or instruction phases for operating personnel.

Clearly visible display with status LED
The multicolor status LED can be read from virtually any viewing angle. This is invaluable when installation space is tight and visibility is restricted. For example, doing a visual check to determine whether a reading was successful is easy, even without a PC.

Fixed focus without additional settings
The fixed focus for fixed reading distances makes adjustment quick and easy during commissioning.

Convenient and easy connection, even during operation.

SICK LifeTime Services
SICK’s services increase machine and plant productivity, enhance the safety of people all over the world, provide a solid foundation for a sustainable business operation, and protect investment goods. In addition to its usual consulting services, SICK provides direct on-site support during the conceptual design and commissioning phases as well as during operation.
The range of services not only covers aspects like maintenance and inspection, but also includes performance checks as well as upgrades and retrofits. Modular or customized service contracts extend the service life of plants and therefore increase their availability. If faults occur or limit values are exceeded, these are detected at all times by the corresponding sensors and systems.

Consulting and design
Application-specific advice on the product, its integration and the application itself.

Commissioning and maintenance
Application-optimized and sustainable ─ thanks to professional commissioning and maintenance by a trained SICK service technician.

Service contracts
Extended warranty, SICK Remote Service, 24-hour helpdesk, maintenance, availability guarantees and other modular components can be individually combined on request.
